It’s not just cities which are dealing with an increase in crime. Calne, a village in the South of England which lies between Bath and Swindon, has been hit by a crime wave: Vegetables, fruit and eggs are being thrown from moving cars at pedestrians and houses. The police are „taking the matter very seriously“ and have appealed to the public for help in identifying the criminals.
Local police chief, Sergeant Phil Connor: “One of the people hit by a potato was injured. We would like to hear from anyone who can help us identify those responsible”
The jury is still out as to whether this is a case for Inspector Barnaby or in fact an elaborate plan cooked up by Cameron and Clegg to promote healthy eating…
