The BSC 2017 conference will be relevant to both UK and international delegates, from academic and practice backgrounds, with an interest in: criminology, criminal justice, socio-legal studies, social policy, law, human rights, psychology and sociology.
The conference will be held at Sheffield Hallam University’s city centre campus which situated directly opposite Sheffield’s rail and bus stations. Our campus has excellent transport links via rail, bus and road, with international airports located in Doncaster/Sheffield Robin Hood (40 mins), East Midlands (1 hr), Manchester (1 hr 15 mins) and Leeds Bradford (1 hr 15 mins). Sheffield is linked by train to London St Pancras station in just over 2 hours, with direct Eurostar connections to Paris, Brussels and the rest of Europe.
Sheffield is a city of half a million people but is known more for its village feel. The City has seen significant investment in infrastructure over the last 15 years and visitors to the British Society of Criminology Conference will find a modern and vibrant conference location. Sheffield has a strong academic culture based on two universities both located within walking distance of the city centre.
